Reactions have trailed the advice that Reno Omokri, the aide to the former president, Goodluck Jonathan, has given people for the year 2022.

For some period of time, Reno Omokri has been dishing out advice, encouragement, and teaching young people who intend to make money using his social media platforms. Sometimes, some of his advice may seem controversial, as some people may tend to disagree with him.

As the year 2021 is wading off and we are beginning to look forward to another year, everyone usually has their focus and aspirations for the new year. Many people always wish and pray for more riches and prosperity in their businesses and jobs in the new year.

Many Nigerians are known to enjoy flaunting their possessions and living above their means, as they love buying items that can easily deplete their savings. This form of attitude has, however, caused many people to not have a financial breakthrough, which has led to Reno Omokri giving out advice to people about high spending on non-important things.

Reno made it known that people should endeavour to be more focused on the acquisition of assets rather than show wealth through a flashy lifestyle. He stated that people should stop buying the latest cars when they have no home of their own or flying first class when there is no first class business under their name. Reno made it known that assets are things that give people access, and the basic reason why many people don’t have money to pay for their necessities is that they spent the little they had on nonsensibilities. He noted that placing too much value on nonsensities over necessity will lead to poverty. This advice given by Reno has, however, generated some reactions from the social media, as some people agreed with his statement and praised him for his logical reasoning.

What is your take on Reno’s advice for the year 2022? What is your vision for the coming year? Are you planning to go for assets or nonsensities?
