Tanker explosion kills seven
Petrol tanker explosion at an accident scene at the weekend killed seven people in a village in southern-central Niger.
The tanker exploded on Saturday evening in the Zinder region, Niger Republic, while a crowd of people were scooping fuel from the damaged truck.
It was disclosed that a spark from a motorcycle caused the explosion which killed the victims.
The truck was aid to be conveying 64,000 litres (17,000 gallons) of fuel to Niamey.
