Temitope Osoba’s family debunks rumours surrounding her death
The family of late actress Temitope Osoba has dismissed reports circulating on social media and some online platforms about the circumstances surrounding her death, describing the claims as false and unauthorised.
In a statement shared via Osoba’s official Instagram page, the family expressed concern over the spread of unverified information, saying it had compounded their grief during an already difficult time.

The family urged the public to ignore the reports and refrain from sharing content that could fuel speculation.
“On behalf of the family and loved ones of Temitope Osoba, we are deeply saddened by the spread of false and unverified reports concerning the passing of our beloved,” the statement read.
According to the family, the various claims about the actress’s death are “false, speculative, and entirely unauthorized,” stressing that no official details have been released.
“We respectfully urge the public to refrain from sharing or promoting misinformation that only adds to the pain our family is already enduring,” the statement added.
The family also appealed for privacy as they mourn, asking the public and media to allow them space to grieve without the burden of rumours and sensational reporting.
It assured that any information regarding Osoba’s passing would be communicated only through official family representatives and authorised channels.
“We ask the public and members of the media to rely solely on those official statements and to disregard all unverified reports,” the family said.
The Awonuga/Osoba family thanked Nigerians for their prayers, love and support, while urging everyone to honour the late actress’s memory by respecting the family’s privacy during the mourning period.
