These are the top five most dangerous prisons in the world.
Most of these facilities share common traits such overcrowding and extreme violence by inmates and prison guards.
5. Gitarama Prison
Overcrowding is the biggest issue here, the prison was made to only hold 400 awaiting trail inmates but as of 2021 this prison holds more than 8000 convicts.
People here are packed as sardines and stand for more than 22-hours a day due to space shortage but standing in filthy place for several hours does have health risks in this case the inmates feet rot.
Many of the here have rotten feet to the point they require amputation like that is not enough there is high level of guard brutality and gang violence running the prison system.
4. Pollsmor Prison
Located in Cape town, South Africa this place is regarded as hell on earth about 40 inmates share a single cell this overcrowding makes the outbreak of diseases like TB to reign supreme and claim the lives of many.
Gang violence is an issue here daily stabbings to fellow inmates and prison staff is an issue, sexual assaults are common and has contributed to the rapid spread of the HIV virus within the prison system.
3. Gldani Prison, Georgia
Guard brutality is a huge problem here, convicts only get one meal a day and they are locked up to 23 hours a day, they only get 1 hour outside only if the guards feels like they want to on that particular day.
Cells are so small to the point that you cannot stand up bright, instead to move around freely in the cell you crawl.

Up to 23 hours a day solitary confinement, prisoners are subject to harsh treatment from the prison personnel.

Also known as the black plague prison, due to its fearsome of killings amongst inmates and prison staff and also their poor medical care units it said here convicts get medical attention once a month that leads to many outbreaks of deadly disease spreading like wild fire.
