Two Indian phone sellers have reportedly been confronted by angry residents in Lagos following allegations that they sold a customer a faulty mobile phone.
The incident, which came to public attention through a video circulating on social media, reportedly began after a customer purchased a phone from the two men and discovered that the device would not switch on.
on October 22, 2026, the customer contacted the sellers after discovering the fault, but they allegedly attempted to evade the complaint.
The situation escalated when some residents reportedly chased the two men and brought them back to face the customer.
Footage of the incident showed the sellers surrounded by a crowd, with some residents pointing fingers and expressing anger during a heated exchange.

It was also unclear whether the sellers were formally arrested by the police, or whether the customer eventually received a refund or replacement for the faulty device.
