UKRAINE: After receiving $350m, expecting $1bn more, Zelensky accuses US, allies of lack of cowardice
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy is still accusing the west of not doing enough to help his country invaded by Rusia.
He said this while emphasizing ahead of negotiatios that a ceasefire must come first.
The US and other NATO allies have sent millions of dollars in equipment and funds to help the country. The US is also planning a $1bn support package after the initial $350m already delivered..
Per peace talks, however, Zelensky accused the west of insufficient involvement.
He said he does not see bravery from Nato on Ukraine and doesn’t see common consensus to accept the country joining the alliance.
He said Russian and Ukrainian negotiating teams have started talking about concrete topics as opposed to exchanging ultimatums, reports Reuters.
He also said some small Ukrainian towns have ceased to exist as a result of the war.
