UNIBEN students trapped in collapsed building amid heavy downpour
Several students of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) were reportedly trapped in a building that collapsed during heavy rain on Saturday morning in Benin City, Edo State.
The incident occurred on Ekhator Street, Ekosodin, an area known for housing students.

According to reports from Sahara Reporters, a university rescue team has managed to extract some of the trapped occupants, with several sustaining inj¥ries. The injured victims were promptly taken to the hospital for treatment.
Efforts are still underway to rescue one remaining victim, who is reportedly trapped inside the rubble and has been heard calling for help.
The Dean of Students from UNIBEN was on the scene, overseeing rescue efforts alongside the university team.
