Update: Tinubu leads in 10, Obi wins in 7 LGAs in Lagos

The presidential election result announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) so far in Lagos State sows that the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, won in 10 local governments, while the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi, won in 7 local governments.

After the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner for Lagos, Olusegun Agbaje, declared the state collation centre in Yaba, open on Sunday, results for 17 of the  20 local government areas (LGAs) in the state were released at 3.40 am on Monday. The LGAS include Lagos Mainland, Ikorodu, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos Island, Badagry, Agege, Ikeja, Shomolu, Kosofe, Amuwo Odofin, Eti Osa, Surulere, Apapa, Ifako Ijaiye, Ajeromi, Oshodi Isolo.

The results for Mushin LGA generated controversies, the results were disputed by the Inter-party Advisory Committee (IPAC), and was, therefore, not signed by some party agents.

Ojo and Alimosho were the two LGAs yet to be announced.
