Why Igbo, Christian security officers must be on guard – OYC
The apex youth organization in Igboland, Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, has advised Igbo and Christian security officers in various departments in Nigeria to consistently stay on guard.
The Council gave the advice through its national President, Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka in an interactive session with newsmen in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, Tuesday, August 31, 2021 after extended security meeting of the council as regards the rising insecurity challenges in Nigeria.
Comrade Igboayaka, while addressing newsmen, noted that the killing of Lt. MC Okoronkwo by Bandits at Nigeria Defense Academy Kuduna was a clear proof that the Igbos and Christian security officers working for Nigeria government are targeted for extinction, annihilation, maiming and slaughtering by the organized Fulani militia otherwise known as Bandits and Boko Haram who have been terrorizing other ethnic nationalities in the country.

According to the embittered youth leader, the gruesome killing of Okoronkwo is a launching of ethnic cleansing of Igbo and Christian in military, Navy, Airforce, police and other security forces in Nigeria.
“The manner of killing of Lt. Chinecherem Okoronkwo and how the bandit displayed the video of his corpse is quite inciting to Ndigbo and Christian community, yet for them it’s calculating attempt by the Government actors (the sponsors of this criminal elements), to humiliate Ndigbo and Christians. This Manner of Killing wouldn’t stop in military, Navy, Airforce police and other security departments if the Igbo and Christian security agents keep mute without any proactive measure.
“The killing of Igbo and Christian Force men in Nigeria security department will hence take different dimensions, some will look like accident, mistake, banditry, kidnapping, killing and dying in disguise of fighting Boko Haram, Igboayaka revealed.
He, therefore, charged all Christian leaders, Catholics, Anglican and Methodist Bishops, all other General Overseers of the teaming churches to awaken from their slumber, warning against envisaged, impending assassination of more Christians in various sectors in a couple of weeks, if nothing is done to avert same.
