Wike visits Ganduje in Abuja
Former Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, on Tuesday, visited former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), at his private residence in Abuja.

Wike’s visit to Ganduje came amidst insinuations of plans to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP0 to the ruling APC.
Meanwhile, Wike was gathered to have paid a congratulatory visit to Ganduje on his emergence as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The former governor had visited the President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja, one week earlier before visiting Ganduje, the APC National Chairman.
Wike is among the ministerial nominees screened and confirmed by the Senate on the recommendation of President Tinubu.
Former Governor Wike had led other four PDP governors to work against the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general elections, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, which was won by the APC.
At different times, Wike had denied plans to defect from to the PDP to the APC.
