16-year old female student beats School Principal unconscious
A 16-year-old student has been arrested after she was said to have attacked her school principal and left her unconscious.
Witness accounts revealed that the teen punched Principal Patricia Lampron in the head and attacked another staff member at the Upper Campus of the Dr. William W. Henderson K-12 Inclusion School in the city’s Dorchester neighborhood.
Before the assault, the student told Lampron and the other school employee to stop following her, according to witnesses.
“This incident is disturbing and completely unacceptable,” Boston Public Schools Superintendent Brenda Cassellius said in a message to the school community that was obtained by the news outlet.
“We want to be clear: Violence of any kind is not tolerated and will not be tolerated in the Boston Public Schools,” Cassellius added. Lampron was reportedly knocked out for several minutes before she was hospitalized. Police officers described the attack as “very violent.”
The student was detained by a pair of school safety officers before police arrived. The teen is facing assault and battery charges, police said.
