Lagos School girls Abduction: Kidnappers demand N200 million
As the search and rescue effort for the schoolgirls abducted from Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary (BMJS), Lagos, continues, the kidnappers have demanded N200 million in ransom.
The girls, identified as Timilehin Olusa, Tofunmi Popoolaniyan and Deborah Akinayo, were seized from their dormitory by armed men who scaled the fence of their school at Ikorodu on Monday night.
Timilehin is the daughter of Venerable Victor Ayo Olusa, the executive secretary of the Lagos Anglican School Management Board. The kidnappers were said to have contacted him, demanding N200 million for the three girls.

Since the abduction, there have been series of meetings between the school, the police authorities and parents with a view to rescuing them.
However, there are indications that security agencies might have identified the location of the abductors as a team of police, military personnel, Department of State Security, (DSS) and some vigilante groups have been deployed to comb the area.
Some parents have heaped the blame on the school management for not providing adequate security in the school. They said they had advised the school management to raise the school fence, but nobody took action.
