25-year-old man commit suicide due to high cost of living, others
25-year-old Joseph Abodunrin recently committed suicide in the Dagbolu community of Osogbo LGA, Osun State, citing the unbearable pressures of rising living costs and its toll on his mental health.
His family member, Abodunrin Grace, confirmed his passing on social media, describing him as a loving brother who masked deep pain behind constant smiles.
Friends and family recall Joseph’s heartfelt messages on social media, where he often shared his struggles. In posts from January 31 and March 24, he revealed that the thought of leaving his siblings behind was the only reason he had delayed his final step.
His final tweets expressed sorrow, a desperate search for meaning, and a hope that his words would encourage his loved ones to keep fighting—even when life seems too heavy to bear.
