34-yr-old American singer Taylor Swift hits Forbes billionaire list
American pop star Taylor swift has been named among the world’s richest people in 2024 by Forbes magazine.
The 34-year-old singer on Tuesday, April 2, entered the Forbes World’s Billionaires List for the first time with $1.1 billion.
According to Forbes, the list was compiled using stock prices and exchange rates as of March 8, 2024.
Swift amassed an estimated $1.1 billion fortune based on earnings from her blockbuster Eras Tour, the value of her music catalogue and her real estate portfolio, with homes in New York, Beverly Hills, Nashville and a coastal mansion in Rhode Island.
Forbes said Swift is the first musician to hit ten-figure status solely based on her songs and performances.
Swift began professional songwriting at age 14. She signed with Big Machine Records as a country singer in 2005, where she released six studio albums.
She is one of the world’s best-selling digital artists, with 200 million records sold worldwide.
