63 vigilante members bandits killed disobeyed military order
The 63 members of Yan-Sa-Kai reportedly killed by bandits at Anemi, a village under Zuru Emirate of Kebbi State, on Moday, refused to heed military order .
The armed ethnic group and the military were in combat with a company of bandits, and it appeared the joint forces were overwhelmed.
According to a source the Daily Trust interviewed, the army commander of the joint operation, considering the situation, ordered a tactical withdrawal.
Yan-sa-kai, however, kept chasing the terrorists.
The bandits eventually led the militiamen into an ambush.
Other bandits concealed in trees opened fire on the vigilantes, killing over 60, including a father and his son.
The military, however, came back and launched aerial attacks on the criminal, and the bombardment went on as of Tuesday.
