8 signs you will observe when your prediabetes turns into diabetes
Prediabetes means your blood sugar level is higher than normal but yet not high enough to be considered type 2 diabetes. Many people live with prediabetes without knowing it unless a medical test is carried out. It is possible to reverse prediabetes before it turns into diabetes.
However, because prediabetes usually has no symptoms, some person neglects it until it turns into diabetes. In this article, I’ll like to educate you on some signs you will begin to observe once your prediabetes has evolved into type 2 diabetes according to Mayo Clinic.
1. You feel thirsty more frequently or more usual than normal. Water follows the excess sugar being excreted by the kidneys as urine. So the person who is now diabetic experiences more thirst.
2. Vision problems might set in like blurred vision to indicate that such a person is now diabetic.
3. Having the urge to use the bathroom more than usual or more often during the day and night is a sign that you are now diabetic as your body excretes more water
4. Having increased hunger is another sign that shows that your prediabetics have turned into diabetes. Your body can’t use glucose for energy so you need to eat more food to get little energy.
5. Some people develop fatigue or headaches due to high blood sugar levels.
6. Your sores or wounds heal slowly sometimes even after you’ve used medications
7. Falling ill often or having frequent infections also shows that you’ve developed diabetes.
8. You lose weight without making efforts, doing rigorous activities or exercises.
