Leadership with integrity will restore Nigeria’s dignity among comity of Nations – Ambode

The first lady of Lagos State, Mrs Bolanle Ambode, has said that the anti-corruption stance of leadership in Nigeria will restore the dignity of the country within the comity of nations, assuring that infrastructure will be fixed and employment will be in abundance.
Ambode who stated this at the prayer for the Nation 2016 organised by Fatima Charity Foundation held at the Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos, explained that there is need to seek the face of God in solving the challenges facing the country currently.
She expressed that with fervent prayers and unwavering faith, the country and especially Lagos will bountifully reap the favour of God
” I urge my country men and women, to see beyond current socioeconomic challenges and embrace the hope that the future will be glorious”, said Ambode
While speaking, the Commissioner of Home Affairs in Lagos State, Honourable Abdulateef Abdulhakeem, explained that the war against corruption in the country can be won if all hands are on deck, explaining further that elected political office holders should ensure they fulfill their campaign promises.
Abdulhakeem added that what is currently happening to those that were alleged to have stolen public funds is truly a repercussion, stating further that corruption has aided insecurity, unemployment and as well increase poverty .
He however called on Nigerians to keep supporting the anti-corruption war, stressing that corruption cannot be fought alone by the political leadership.
