Plateau United fan got rewarded with a plaque for his support
A fan of Plateau United Hassan Sambo has been rewarded with a plaque for his amazing support to the team,National Daily learnt.
Presenting the award to Hassan shortly after Thursday’s friendly match against Nike Boys of Tudu Wada, Jos, Plateau United captain of the team, Golbe Elisha said the gesture is their little way of appreciating all the gifts he has been showering the team as a way of motivating them during the previous seasons.
Elisha told National Daily that his support and encouragement has gone a long way in boosting their morale during the previous Nigeria Professional Football League season and assured him they will continue to do their best in order to bring glory to the club.
Responding shortly after receiving the gift, an elated Hassan Sambo who expressed surprised with award, urged players to redouble their efforts and win a trophy in the forthcoming season.
Hassan assured them that he will not relent in his efforts to motivate the team, while appealing to them to reciprocate the gesture by ensuring that they always put smiles on the faces of the club teeming supporters.
It would be recalled that Hassan Sambo who is a coach with the Plateau State Sports Council, has been showering players and coaches of Plateau United with different gifts as a way of motivating them during league matches since the team returned to the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL, three years ago.
