Jonathan congratulates Ethiopian Prime Minister on winning Nobel Peace Price
Former Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, has congratulated the Prime Minister of Ethiopian, Abiy Ahmed, on his winning the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize. Jonathan acknowledged the commitment of the Ethiopian Prime Minister to resolving the ravaging conflicts and restoring peace in Ethiopia.
Former President Jonathan on his social media handle wrote: “I congratulate Ethiopian Prime Minister, His Excellency, Abiy Ahmed, for his well-deserved Nobel Peace Prize. His bold moves toward resolving the crisis in the Horn is a pointer to the fact that lasting peace and sustainable development are possible in Africa.
“The Award is a big boost to the impetus for the peace process in the region and all other ongoing efforts towards resolving conflicts on the continent.
