Abesan Estate Residents Association, Sector 23 elects new excos

Tayo Adeyemo, a journalist has been reelected unopposed as the chairman of Sector 23, Abesan Estate Resident Association, (AERA) in a peaceful election witnessed by seven members of the central body led by the Vice President of AERA.
The elections which held on October 3, 2020, also produced Balogun Abiodun as the Vice Chairman and Otunba Gbenga Awosoro as the General Secretary.
Other elected officials are: Lilian Olisakwe (Asst Gen SEC), Lanre Ojo (Treasurer), Akapo Adewale (Financial Secretary) Lanre Ojo (Public Relations Officer), Bunmi Saheed (social Sec), Kehinde Solaja (Treasurer), Henry Ochidike (CSO) Esiggbone Mary (Asst Social Sec) and Pst Henry Okpali (Welfare Officer)
As the new officers take over the leadership of the sector for the next three years, Vice President of the central body, AERA, Folorunsho Eritobor, urged the new exco to work harder to improve on the earlier achievements, and also live up to the name- Pace Setter sector.
Speaking at the occasion, chairman of the election committee, Sina Dare, tasked the new executive to always remember that they have been elected to serve, emphasizing that more service is demanded of them now.
He congratulated the executive and wished them well as they carry the mantle of leadership of the group till 2023.
Responding afterwards, the newly elected chairman, Tayo Adeyemo who spoke behalf of his team promised residents of sector 23 a purposeful leadership, promising to do more in the area of security and welfare for residents.
“We are committed to serve the sector to the best of our abilities, and we crave for the support of all residents in bringing more development to our pace setter sector,” he added.
The newly excos were presented with certificates of return by representatives of the President of the central body, and sworn in by AERA’s legal officer, Barrister Titi Bello.
