Nollywood star Azuzu is dead
Nollywood actor Ernest Asuzu slumped and died Tuesday evening—after years of battling with a syndrome of ailments.
“Yes, Ernest Asuzu is dead. I am trying to reach his wife to get the full details. I will get back to you.” Emeka Rollas, presidet of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, confirmed said.
After a spell of fame following his roles in Rituals and other blockbusters in the late 90s, Asuzu fell ill, and had a stroke in 2015.
He battled speech problem and mobility for three years, and never fully recovered.
He took to social media to ask for help, financial and otherwise, as he constantly emphasized his problems were not ordinary.
