Lagos police train 110 personnel in weapons handling
To inject new policing ideas and skills in operatives, the Lagos Police Command has engaged 110 personnel in arms and combat training.
The training which was introduced by the Commissioner of Police Hakeem Odumosu is aimed at equipping the operatives with skills in weapons handling, musketry, baton and rifle exercise (BARE), combat operations, individual manoeuvre and range practice.
A statement by spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi Tuesday evening said the training commenced in April and would be on for another month.
“The Commissioner of Police has promised to regularly embark on training and retraining of officers and men of the command to bring out the best in them with a view to having a better security system in Lagos State,” the statement said.
