Bandits sustain onslaught in Zamfara, Kill 3, kidnap 7 in fresh attacks
Bandits have sustained their onslaught in Zamfara State, killing and kidnapping residents. The bandits on Friday killed three persons and kidnapped 7 others when they struck at Dansadau community in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State,
The bandits were said to have invaded the community at about 2.30am, operated for about 4 hours into the early hours of Friday without any interference.
There were insinuations that the bandits burnt armoured personnel carrier of the Nigerian military in the operation.
About 100 persons were kidnapped few days before the Friday invasion in Manawa, within the Dansadau district but were later set free.
It was indicated that Dansadau community is about 99 kilometers from Gusau, Zamfara State capital.
Northwest Nigeria has become hot zone for banditry operations despite federal government’s military build up in the north.
