Secondus, PDP’s national working committee in disarray as members resign
The PDP national chairman Uche Secondus is increasingly becoming a loner in as the party’s National Working Committee go deeper into confusion.
Seven members of the NWC have turned in their resignation, promising to remain loyal to the party though, according to the party’s National Organising Secretary Austin Akobundu on Tuesday.
Those who resigned included the deputy national financial secretary, deputy legal adviser, deputy National auditor, deputy national publicity secretary, deputy women leader, and deputy organising secretary.
One of the reasons for their mass resignation is they can’t work with Secondus.
The chairman has been facing stiff opposition arising from allegations of corruption, internal wrangling, and other problem many believe he should handle better.
Secondus just sued a party member, Kazeem Afegbua who petitioned the EFCC over multibillion-naira mismanagement he claimed Secondus couldn’t explain.
