Sale Mamman, the dismissed minister of power, has revealed President Muhammadu Buhari never took a long while before appointing him as minister.

He told the BBC Hausa on Saturday how he never solicited nor lobbied for the appointment in 2019.

Saleh, a Taraba politician, had a HND in electrical electronics (and MBA later), and was a technical school teacher before joining Taraba’s work ministry until his retirement in 2002.

He and his Agriculture and Rural Development counterpart, Sabo Nanono, were relieved on Wednesday because of their poor performance and weak stewardship.
