Why you need to drink water before brushing your teeth
Most people are aware that the recommended amount of water for consumption per day is between 7 and 8 glasses of water. There are several functions performed by your body that are dependent on water. Although it is understandable that you may have to space out your drinking, many people are left wondering: “Should they drink water before or after brushing their teeth?”
Water can indeed be consumed right after you have woken up, even before you have brushed your teeth. You can reap the benefits of this practice in many ways –
Below are 7 benefits
1.You use up your body’s water supply while sleeping, and you do not always wake up in the middle of the night to replenish it. This is why you should drink water immediately after waking up in the morning, it will rehydrate your body.
2. During the night your mouth becomes a breeding ground for germs and bacteria. You should drink water in the morning before brushing your teeth. Water helps clean your mouth and make brushing your teeth more effective.
3. You will notice that your immunity will become stronger when you make it a habit to drink water before brushing. Statistically, the chances of you getting sick of common illnesses like cold and cough, flu or hay fever will be much lower.
4. Another benefit of drinking water first thing in the morning is that it lowers high blood pressure and allows the body to regulate blood sugar throughout the day.
5. If you drink a glass of water at the beginning of each day, you can avoid problems that can lead to gastroenteritis and indigestion.
6. Last but not least, this practice will make your skin as well as your hair more soft and supple.
