Police investigate death of 8 children in abandoned car
The Lagos State Police Command has commenced investigation into the death of 8 children on Sunday in an abandoned car in Badagry, Lagos State. The woman said to be the owner of the car abandoned at Adelayo Street, Jah-Michael, Badagry, has been arrested by the police for interrogation.
The children were declared missing on Saturday and were later found dead in the abandoned car on Sunday by a search team organized by the community.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Command, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, disclosed that the corpses of the 8 children have been taken to Badagry General Hospital for autopsy to determine the cause of death.
How the eight children got into the abandoned car has remained a puzzle to residents of the area. it is expected that the police investigation will unravel all that.
