Survivor of Sokoto bandit attack dies after narrating ordeal
Shafa’atu had hope of surviving the injury she had when bandits shot at her vehicle, and it somersaulted and exploded, killing the 33 occupants except her and one other.
But the 30-year-old eventually died at Uthman Dan Fodio University Teaching Hospital in Sokoto
According to her, her three children, mother and uncle were among those the bandits watched burning to ashes in the explosion.
Bnadits loyal to Bello Turji, a notorious bandits’ kingpin, were alleged to have been responsible for the attacks in the eastern part of Sokoto.
