Ooni: Marriage is a private affair, Ogunwusi responds
While social media are burning with the news of the third divorce of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi from Olori Naomi broken on Instagram Thursday, the palace has made attempts to dismiss the story.
It suspected a hacked job, and promised to probe it.
Director of Media and Strategy, Ooni’s palace, Moses Olafare, said the royal couple slept in the same room the night before the news.
Ogunwusi and Naomi went to bed as husband and wife the night before the news broke
“So, if by this morning, the queen went to social media to write that she is no longer in marriage with Ooni, we will look into it to see whether or not the Instagram page truly belongs to her, and to know the reason behind it,” he said.
“But as of today, this moment, the palace is not aware of the separation.”
In fact, Ooni , he said, was packaging a Chrismas gift for his Olori the day before.
“If he is not in love with her, he cannot be doing that. In fact, the Christmas gift has been delivered to her already.”
Olafare also tried to emphasize the royal father is entitled to his privacy.
“No matter how prominent the personalities involved, it is a private affair,” he told the Punch.
