NSCDC arrest bandits, cattle rustlers, rapists in Sokoto
Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Sokoto State arrested some bandits, including rapists and cattle rustlers in the state.
The NSCDC Commandant in Sokoto State, Mohammed Saleh-Dada, disclosed that one of the arrested persons claimed membership of an illegal volunteer Vigilantes group, Yan Sakai, in Sokoto State. The suspect was said to have trailed his victim that came to buy cow for his daughter’s wedding, killing him with an axe, stealing his money and escaped.
Mr. Saleh-Dada said the decomposed body of the victim was found dumped in the forest.
A wanted suspect, providing information for bandits and trailing movement of persons targeted for be kidnap and payment of ransom.
The NSCDC further crushed a gang of cattle rustlers after gun battle in Gwadabawa Local Government Area, Sokoto State.
The rustlers flee after being overwhelmed, leaving behind 14
cows, 52 sheep and three donkeys.
The NSCDC paraded a serial rapist, accused of raping a 12-year-old boy over a year, causing him serious anal injury.
Two other serial rapists were also nabbed by the Corps, accused of defiling minors in Sokoto.
