Uzodimma frets, begs Imo voters to save APC Saturday bye-election
Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has shown signs of phobia over the bye-election holding in the state on Saturday. The governor, therefore, begged Imo voters to save the All Progressives Congress (APC) from being disgraced in the state.
The governor also told APC members to stand and be counted during the bye-election in Ngor Okpuala state constituency, Imo State, on Saturday.
Uzodinma at the APC State Secretariat on Okigwe Road, Owerri, ordered that “everything should be put in place to ensure victory at the poll.” He assured the commitment of his administration to continue to provide quality leadership in Imo State.
APC leaders, as well as other stakeholders, who participated in the meeting with the governor include state and National Assembly members.
Uzodimma declared that he is hell bent on leaving APC stronger and bigger than he met it, urging members to give him undiluted support.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Imo State has recruited 800 ad-hoc staff for the Ngo-Okpala bye-election, while 11 political parties have nominated candidates for the Saturday polls.
