JAMB insists on March 26, 2022 UTME registration deadline
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has insisted that the deadline of the 2022 UTME/DE Registration Exercise remains March 26 as scheduled, saying there will be no extension.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board in a statement by the spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, maintained that the February 19 to March 26, 2022, time frame for registration is the only period approved by the authorities to the Board for the exercise.
The statement reads: “It should be noted that registration and examination dates are not fixed arbitrarily but through a consensus of opinions of the Federal Ministry of Education and other examination agencies.
“This announcement is necessary because of the drop in the number of candidates coming forward to register in spite of the capacity of the Board to register more daily.”
JAMB encouraged prospective candidates who intend to register for the 2022/23 UTME/DE to process their registration, noting that candidates have two more weeks for the registration, insisting that no extension would be approved after the close of registration on March 26.
