Presidency panic as Buhari battles with negative legacy in post-2023 era
The Nigerian presidency may have been thrown into seeming panic over the noticeable policies inflicting hardship and difficulties on the citizens. This is more so as President Muhammadu Buhari may have also been battling with threatening negative legacy after his second tenure in 2023. These may have put the presidency under pressure to issue a statement this conveying the President Buhari apologized to Nigerians over the prevailing electricity outage and biting fuel scarcity in the country.
The president was portrayed to have promised to restore fuel and electricity supply. However, since the apology, electricity supply has only gene worse than the situation before the apology statement from the presidency. Nigerians now spend more extended hours without electricity supply.
Virtually all economic statistics have gone bad in the Buhari administration, from unemployment rate, to inflation, crime, poor health infrastructure, among others.
Meanwhile, President Buhari returned to Nigeria on Friday after two weeks of medical vacation in London, the United Kingdom.
