Nigeria’s economic recession an act of God, Sultan declares
The economic recession in Nigeria and other parts of the world has been attributed to the will of God.
According to the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, all of these was ordained by the Heavenly Father.
Moving on, he called on both Muslims and Christians to change their ways and return to God, as this would solve the problem.
“The only solution to this is for us to show piety and repent,” he said.
The religious leader also urged the government to find ways to tackle the suffering of Nigerians.
Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, who is also the President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), is currently marking his 10th year on the throne.
