Babajide Otitoju reacts as Pastor Adeboye says Nigeria’s security problems are not ordinary (Video)
Popular Nigerian journalist, Babajide Kolade-Otitoju, has reacted to the recent statement by the G.O of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, regarding the security problems affecting the country. In a recent interview on TVC News, Babajide analysed the Pastor Adeboye’s comment.
Reacting to the statement, Babajide said, “I may not totally agree with him, but I agree that we need to pray a lot and ask God to intervene on our behalf.” Our leaders have proved grossly incompetent in dealing with the security problems, and we have to look elsewhere. We have to look towards the ruler of the universe. I am not saying we must seek a solution from God for all our problems.
We have intelligent Nigerians who can solve our problems, but Nigerians need God at this time because they have tried all they can. Nigerians have spoken to the people in government and the media has championed the cause by speaking to the people in government. However, the problems keep getting worse to the extent that we are not sure of the next dimension that the problem could assume. I agree with him that we need to look towards God a lot more. I believe that the ruler of the universe has ways of solving problems. God brings help even when we have totally given up.
He continued, “What do we do about elected leaders who sometimes force themselves on us?” What do we do about them? We only need to wait for them to go. We have tried by voting for trusted leaders. Those leaders have questions to answer if they fail to deliver. God expects them to do things the right way. God does not expect privileged leaders to start stealing our resources and not do their best to ensure that things get better.
