Portable lands in bigger trouble after police ordered him to report himslef
Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been dragged into a homicide case thanks to his road demon of a driver who knocked an okada rider dead at Iyana Ilogbo, Ogun, Tuesday.
The incident followed the earlier invitation by the police, asking the singer to report himself for assaulting another person.
According to reports, the driver, unidentified yet, was driving at top speed while on errand for his boss.
The rider was rushed to a hospital, but he didn’t make it.
Portable himself, who left the naming ceremony of his son, confirmed it when he visited the victim
According to the Ogun State police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the incident was a road accident, adding that investigation will unravel what led to the unfortunate incident.
“The accident occurred at Ilogbo area in Ogun state where one of Portable’s aides hit a motorcyclist and the man did not survive as he died on his way to the hospital.
“We are not sure if the guy in question is drunk or not. We should all wait for the outcome of the investigation.
“But with this, we are resounding our 48 hour ultimatum given to the hip-pop singer, this ultimatum will elapse tomorrow, Wednesday. He will do himself well to be honourable and turn himself in for investigation.”
