Organ harvesting: Gbajabiamila contacts Nigerian High Commission in UK to assist Ekweremadu
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, has expressed dismay over the travails of the former Deputy President of the Senate in the United Kingdom (U.K.), where is being prosecuted for a controversial allegation of organ harvesting and trafficking by the Metropolitan Police.
Rt. Hon. Gbajabiamila at the plenary of the House on Tuesday, demanded the Nigerian High Commission in the U.K. to provide Ekweremadu all the support he needs to defend the case against him and his wife, Beatrice.
Gbajabiamila disclosed that he has been in contact with the Nigerian High Commissioner to the U.K. to ensure that all resources needed for the defense of Ekweremadu and his wife are provided to them, noting that allegations do not equal judgement.
