Atiku decries ASUU’s ordeal, promises to work with university authorities to end incessant strikes
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has decried the ordeal of the Academic Staff Union of Universities and workers in Nigeria’s tertiary institutions after months of prolonged strike. He promised to work with university authorities to find lasting solutions to strikes in the country.
Atiku in tweets, Atiku Abubakar @atiku wrote: ‘I take very strong exception to the strike by ASUU and the government’s inability to resolve the crisis. I have been investing in education for the past thirty years.
“I pledge I will work with university authorities to end these incessant strikes that are causing unacceptable harm to the ability of our children to get an education.” #IYD2022. -AA
