Casualties as 2 Super Tucanos wreak havoc on Boko Haram hideouts in Borno
No fewer than 49 Boko Haram terrorists were killed when two Super Tucano fighter aircraft raided three terrorist hideouts in Sambisa forest, Borno, recently.
The Air Task Force, Operation Hadin Kai on August 30 and 31, 2022, hit the terrorist camps of Gargash, Minna, and Gazuwa, in the Bama Local Government Area.
According to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, the airstrikes targeted a moving truck of the terrorists in Gargash, killing all four occupants on Aug 30, 2022.
Another aircraft pounded targets at another location in Minna, leading to the killing of 16 Boko Haram fighters.
On August 31, another air strike was conducted in Gazuwa after intelligence surveillance revealed a large presence of the fighters.
The fighter jets to attack the two locations, killing 29 of the terrorists and destroying their equipment.
