Why Wike commended Supreme Court on Naira redesign judgement, joins suit against FG
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State at the State’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign in the Abua/Odual Local Government Area, commended the Supreme Court for saving the Nigerian masses and democracy by restraining the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) from implementing the February 10 deadline on the phasing out of N200, N500 and N1000 old notes.
Wike also commended the three state governments that filed the suit, saying that Rivers State Government will join the suit against the Federal Government. The governor added that the Rivers State PDP is not in support of the monetary policy.
Governor Wike asserted that the Supreme Court has through the decision proven that the judiciary is the hope of the common man.
The governor urged the people of the state to use their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to vote for PDP candidates at the state level.
