Just in: IPOB leader, Simon Ekpa, arrested in Finland
Finland authorities on Thursday arrested a man said to be a Nigerian popular separatist agitator, Simon Ekpa.
Simon Ekpa, a self-acclaimed disciple of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been arrested by Finland authorities.
A Finland-based newspaper, Helsingin Sanomat, reported that Ekpa was arrested by police in his residence located at Lahti, Finland.
He was said to have been scheduled for a newspaper interview before he was picked up by the police.

Recently, Ekpa declared that there will be no elections in the south-east zone of Nigeria.
According to a Finland news outlet HS, the police escorted the separatist out of his apartment in Lahti.
The platform claimed that they had gone to Ekpa’s residence for an interview but to their surprise, the Finland police, KRP, answered when the HS team rang the separatist bell.
The HS said the KRP prevented their team from entering Ekpa’s apartment and said that the interview would be moved “to the future”.
