Asake delivers spectacular concert at New York

Asake, the 2023 Nigerian music breakout star, continued to wow audiences with his mind-blowing performances at his landmark Barclays Centre show in New York on September 8, 2023. The sold-out show, which took place at the 19,000-capacity venue, marked Asake’s second consecutive sold-out performance after his debut at the O2 Arena. Asake’s international success has been phenomenal, especially since he primarily uses the Yoruba language in his music.
Asake’s performance at the Barclays Centre was exceptional, as he performed hits from his debut album, “Mr. Money With The Vibez,” and his sophomore album, “Work of Art.” He also thrilled fans with a Fuji fusion alongside the band, who interpolated the classic drums of Adewale Ayuba’s “Ijo Fuji.” The Nigerian artist was not alone on stage as ODUMODUBLVCK, the rapper, was also present to thrill the audience with his hit singles “Picanto” and “Declan Rice.”
Asake’s international breakthrough has been nothing short of remarkable, especially considering that he predominantly sings in Yoruba. His success has been monumental, culminating in his sold-out shows in international venues such as the O2 Arena and Barclays Centre.
