A renown human rights female activist, Comrade Aisha Yesufu, has silenced her critics over her involvement in contemporary politics in the country, devoting unalloyed support to Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP).
Yesufu took on her distractors, saying: “If you say Nigerian politics is dirty, roll up the sleeves let’s get it clean.” She accordingly, declared that she is a politician and has made choices all her life.
Aisha Yesufu who had made remarkable impact in human rights struggle and advocacy in Nigeria, maintained that she ensures she operates from in clean political environment.
She has fought for justice, equity, liberty and good governance in the country, even at the risk of police intimidation. She braved it through.
Aisha Yesufu declared that she is not ashamed of politics, neither does she regret partisan politics.

“I am a politician. All my life I have made choices.
“I am into the Nigerian Politics and on my watch and in places I operate from I will ensure it is clean.
“Any talk of being ashamed of politics or regretting politics, count me out.
“If you say Nigerian politics is dirty, roll up the sleeves let’s get it clean.
“Doing nothing never solves anything. Nature abhors vacuum. If you stay away, others will occupy the space and make the decisions on your behalf.”
