Corps members to benefit from new minimum wage – NYSC DG
The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brig Gen Yushau Ahmed, has said that serving corps members across the country would benefit from the ongoing negotiation for a new minimum wage when it’s completed.
Speaking at Ogun State NYSC Orientation Camp in Sagamu on Saturday, July 6, the DG also warned corps members to desist from posting unauthorised pictures of orientation camp activities in social media, saying three corps members already tried and found guilty have been decamped.
According to him, “Let me also remind you of the camp rules that you are not allowed to post the camp activities online or social media, three of your colleagues elsewhere were found breaking this rules posting camp activities on the social media and they have decamped.
And for your allowance, don’t worry, as soon as the ongoing negotiation on the minimum wage is concluded, you can be so sure that your allowance too will definitely go up. There is no way government will forget you because you are really special.”
