Body of 21-year-old student found in refuse dump in Ilorin
Tragedy struck in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, as the body of Mojisola Awesu, a 21-year-old student at the Kwara State College of Health Technology, was discovered in a refuse dump in the Aleniboro area.
The shocking discovery was made early Tuesday morning, sparking grief and outrage across the community.
Mojisola had reportedly been contracted by a friend to pose as a girlfriend for a private university student at a party in exchange for N15,000.
However, the situation took a grim turn when she failed to return home after the event.
Her lifeless body, showing signs of physical assault, was found by residents of Aleniboro, who immediately alerted the authorities.
The police quickly arrived on the scene and have since launched a full-scale investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
According to sources, Mojisola was persuaded by a close friend to accompany the male student to the social event. Her family, alarmed by her sudden disappearance, began a frantic search that ended in the devastating discovery of her body.
The Kwara State Police Command, led by spokesperson SP Okasanmi Ajayi, has vowed to uncover the truth and bring those responsible to justice.
