Carabao Cup fourth round draw: Top teams set for exciting matchups
The draw for the fourth round of the Carabao Cup has revealed some thrilling matchups following the conclusion of the third round. Tottenham Hotspur will face off against Manchester City, who narrowly defeated Watford 2-1 to progress.
Following the conclusion of the third round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively, the draw for the fourth round has been made with some top teams of English football to face-off for a place in the quarter-finals.
In the draw conducted, Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham will slug it out with ManchesterCity, who edged Watford in a 2-1 result to book a qualification place, while Brighton and Hove Albion will look to usurp Liverpool when they welcome the Reds to the American Express Stadium in a Premier League matchup.
Leicester City have Manchester United on their way in a visit to Old Trafford, and Crystal Palace will travel to Villa Park to play Unai Emery’s Aston Villa.
Chelsea, after humiliating Barrow 5-0, are expected to battle the winner between AFC Wimbledon and Newcastle United in a rescheduled fixture slated for October 1, and Arsenal, who breezed through Bolton in a 5-1 result will be on the road to face Championship side, Preston North End.
The fourth-round games will be played next month, October 29.
