EFCC summons Edo State treasury officials, sparking concerns over political motives
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has summoned four officials from the Edo State Treasury, including Accountant General Julius Anelu, to investigate loans and agricultural interventions from the Central Bank of Nigeria and NIRSAL. While the officials complied with the inquiry, the detention of one current signatory has raised alarms about the EFCC’s intentions.
