Baba De Baba says recession has pushed Nollywood guys from gigolo to homosexuality
By Ediale Kingsley
Baba De Baba, real name Chidi Uzoma, is at it again. This time he is calling out on the guys in the Nollywood industry. In a recent interview with National Daily Newspaper, he lashed at the guys of the Nigeria Film Industry saying they have now found gay as an alternative to gigolo. He accused the male thespians of now hustling to sleep with fellow guys for the sake of money since sleeping with older women isn’t as profitable as it used to.
“The guys used to be gigolos not until when sex became so sweet that younger boys started sleeping with old women for free. So most of the ladies stopped paying guys and that’s why most of the guys you know are now gays, even the married ones. Not just in Nollywood but entertainment in general”.
You may recall that few weeks ago the comedian took a swipe at Mercey Aigbe, “It’s no longer news that Mercy Aigbe’s husband accused her of infidelity which she has denied by asking him for a proof. Let me help her husband by giving her one proof. Early last year, I watched Labi’s show on TVC as she was introducing the show, she jokingly said she called Mercy Aigbe to ask for the support of her beauty salon for free makeups for her forthcoming valentine boat show but Mercy’s husband who happened to be her manager picked the call and instead of discussing what she called for he started asking her if it was right for a woman to hide while receiving calls in the house and if it was also right for a woman to password her phone”.
Other celebrities that have had a taste of the comedian’s lashings are Tiwa Savage and Tee Billz.
