Rivers Police begin enforcement of Third-Party vehicle insurance policy
The Rivers State Police Command has officially commenced the enforcement of the Third-Party Vehicle Insurance Policy for vehicles across the state.
SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the spokesperson for the command, confirmed the development in an interview with the press in Port Harcourt on Monday.
She explained that the enforcement of the Third-Party vehicle insurance policy, which began on February 1, aligns with directives from the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, to police commands nationwide.
Iringe-Koko added that the Commissioner of Police in Rivers, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, had instructed officers to uphold the highest levels of professionalism and integrity throughout the enforcement process.
“The Commissioner of Police has also warned officers against misconduct and emphasized that severe sanctions will be imposed on those who fail to adhere to the Third-Party vehicle insurance policy directives,” Iringe-Koko said.
