Buhari comments on Atiku’s exit from APC
President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday said he sympathised with APC’s National Chairman John Odigie-Oyegun on the exit of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar from the party.
Buhari said this at the inauguration of the Ama Pepple-led National Minimum Wage Committee where Oyegun joined top government officials for the event.
Turning to him, Buhari said, “Accept my sympathy for losing a senior member of your party.”
He did not mention a name, though.

Atiku resigned last Friday, and made the announcement in letter he wrote his ward chairman in Adamawa.
He did not mention where he was headed, anyway.
It is believed the former vice president wants to take another shot at the presidency come 2019, and the opposition has showed its intention to give him the ticket if he joins them early enough.
Before making his position public on Friday, Atiku, in the letter, had actually resigned from the APC since October 18, 2017. Apart from Buhari’s Twitter handler Loretta Onoche who satirized Atiku after his exit, Aso Rock has not responded officially to his move and some of the indictments he made against the APC and Buhari.
